Job Description
Express Courier Services is a dynamic and client-focused medical courier company based in California. We specialize in the timely and secure transportation of medical specimens, supplies, and prescriptions serving a wide range of pharmacies and healthcare providers across California.
Core Responsibilities
Drive vehicles on assigned routes or as needed to pick-up, deliver, and store specimens and other medical materials.
Maintain a positive image and communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and the public.
Perform route audits and ensure the accuracy and safety of sample handling.
Gain knowledge of multiple routes to provide backup for other drivers.
Accurately maintain records and documentation for all deliveries and collections.
Report to work on time and adhere to attendance guidelines.
Keep the vehicle area clean, manage biohazard disposal, and perform basic service checks.
Adhere to our grooming and uniform policies.
Assist with specimen accessioning and other tasks as directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience; medical courier and customer service experience preferred.
- Proficient in map reading, English language (reading and writing).
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Consistent ability to sit during shifts, move and lift 50 pounds.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; computer proficiency preferred.
- Ability to work in biohazard environments and adhere to safety policies.
