Core Responsibilities
Coordinate and dispatch drivers for on-demand and scheduled medical routes.
Monitor driver progress and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Communicate effectively with healthcare facilities and pharmacies regarding shipment status.
Problem-solve routing issues and traffic delays in real-time.
Maintain accurate digital logs and dispatch records.
Provide support to drivers regarding route instructions and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the operations team to optimize routing efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Previous dispatch or logistics coordination experience required.
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities.
- Strong knowledge of the Van Nuys and surrounding Southern California area geography.
- Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends if necessary.
